Pump up your tires!
Do you know what is frustrating? A flat tire. Do you know how to manage it? A tire pump! Well kind of. By maintaining the proper tire pressure in your tires, you can avoid uneven wear on your tires which will keep your tires in excellent shape and stop flats.
A tire with low tire pressure, either on a bike or a automobile, can also cause evils with fuel efficiency. If tires are wrongly inflated, your miles per gallon will reduce because your tires are less round and will need more oomph to move the motor vehicle. A good tire pump, either manual or electric, will help you keep your tires inflated.
Did you know that most fuel stations require a fee to pump your tires up? Last week I drove around town and most fuel stations were charging .75 cents for air. I thought this was unbelievable.
It is sensible to check your tire pressure on a monthly basis. If your car is still under going regular maintenance, your dealer will probably blow up your tires to the required pressures. If it is not, you should be checking your tires monthly and go by the PSI values on your door jamb. It is alright if you surpass the recommended PSI, but be careful of going over the maximum rated pressure for the tire, which is listed as MAX PSI on your tire.
The same holds true for bicycle tires, which you will be using a tyre pump. You can also use a 12v tire pump
